A stunning painting by Carel Willink, two La Fargues with impeccable provenance to the Princes of Rostov via the Unicorno collection of Saam and Lily Nijstad, pieces from the families of Mondriaan and Bram van Velde, from the collections of Benno Premsela, Peter Plasman, Hans Appenzeller, Pat DiCicco and many hundreds of NRC readers. Masterpieces by Isaac Israels, Charles Leickert, Jan Sluijters, by Sir Elton John’s favourite photographer Ruud van Empel, by Erwin Olaf and Jan Fabre. A delightful pointillist summer scene by Johan Aarts, a presumably unique Rietveld chair, a screenprint by Keith Haring and a whole Andy Warhol collection, drawings by Jan Schoonhoven and a real chef-d’oeuvre by Herman de Vries, only to give a first impression of the abundance of this jubilee harvest.
