Notes: Artist & Practice

Her practice explores photography and film as non-transparent media, creating hybrids with installation and performance to reveal realities beyond human perception. By examining where optical media diverge from the human eye, she captures events that exist between information and interpretation, time and space.

Context

Katja explores temporal perception through analog photographic layering. Boundaries between photography and other visual media. This piece exemplifies her interest in capturing the process of creation, rather than just the final outcome. Blending photography and film in flattened, semi-abstract composition.
