Hull’s photographs investigate and challenge our common views of everyday objects and views by altering their contexts and narratives. His projects range from fairly straightforward photojournalistic-type work to conceptual ideas based in the digital end of things. As diverse as his projects, are his means: he uses different cameras, as well as his computer to correct, composite and transform imagery.

Context

'Underground improvisation' is a group of findings, formed by spontaneous acts of alteration, deformation or destruction by the people and afterwards photographed by the Artist. These former advertising posters, now transformed into collages, show the ever changing impact of advertising within the city scape of New York’s subway.
