Dekkers explores the boundaries of photography by constructing and photographing illusionistic sets. Her work blurs the line between painting and sculpture. With a visible manipulation of perspective, she challenges the viewer’s perception. Exhibited at Stedelijk Museum Breda, Gallery The Community in Paris, Budapest based Gallery Trapéz, Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen, LUMC Galerie and Gemeentemuseum The Hague.

Context

In her 'Stage' series, she constructs temporary installations within her studio, using materials like paint, paper, and wood to create spatial compositions. These installations are then photographed, capturing a moment in the evolving process.
