With a 95% sell-through rate and quite a few remarkable hammer prices, the eleventh NRC auction surpassed its previous editions. The collection included unique etchings by Degas and Pissarro, an Erfmann from the estate of Gerrit Komrij, two crucifixion scenes by Toorop, colourful works by Hockney, Warhol, Haring and Lichtenstein, the oldest known 'artwork' by Jan Wolkers: a lampshade he painted during the war, and a complete niche interior designed by Gerrit Rietveld for the dental practice of G.F.M. Schutte.

And more:

A beautiful 17th century masterpiece by Gerard van Kuijl
Original drawings of Lucebert's first publication
A plastic garden chair from teak by Maarten Baas
Rare prints by H.N. Werkman
